Reach and Wash

What Is It?

In a nutshell, 100% pure water is pumped through telescopic poles directly onto your windows, giving you a pristine finish. These poles can reach great heights, and our water is fully mobile, meaning greater access to windows previously inaccessible.  For more in-depth information, please see The Science page.

Why switch to Reach and Wash?

The reach and wash system has many benefits for both customer and worker.  We use this system because, fundamentally, it is safer, less intrusive, more environmentally friendly and most of all, more cost-effective than traditional methods.  Unlike traditional methods, there are no health and safety problems impeding its use.

What Are The Benefits?

Monetary - This system saves our clients, on average, 40% of their total cleaning costs.  This technique means glass is able to stay cleaner for longer, increasing the time-frame between cleans.  Glass is cleaned at the same time as fascias and frames, at no extra cost, providing a better and longer-lasting clean.

Environmentally – Absolutely no chemicals are used! De-ionised pure water is the best cleaner at no cost to the environment. Chemicals are not just bad for the environment, but bad for your windows too.  They leave behind sticky soap residue which actually attracts fresh dirt back to the window.

Privacy – No ladders are used ensuring your privacy and safety.

Awkwardness – Whether it’s a 3rd storey window, a skylight, a conservatory, or signage, our reach and wash poles can get just about anywhere with ease!  Previously inaccessibly windows can now be cleaned!

Disturbance – As no ladders are used, there is no disturbance to lawns or flower beds.

Safety – Our operatives work from the safety of the ground meaning there are no health and safety risks. This reduces the costs transferable to customers.  However, for your peace of mind, we do have public liability insurance.

How Do You Clean With It?

On top of the pole is a nylon brush head with a small channel that jets out a constant supply of pure water. First we clean the frames and then the glass by moving the constantly wet brush head over them. The windows and frames are then rinsed and left to dry to a spot free finish.

Will This Leave Water Marks or Droplets?

Tap water, rain water and even bottled water contain mineral deposits, pollution, calcium and chemicals. Unlike these, every element is removed from our water and it is therefore pure in every sense. This is done by a filtration process called reverse osmosis. The end result is 100% laboratory graded pure water. Because of its purity, nothing is able to deposit on the windows which are always left spot free.
